China domestic upstream oil and gas exploration and development investment continued to increase the effect is showing. The Changqing oilfield produced 24.16 million tons of crude oil and 41.23 billion cubic meters of natural gas, equivalent to 57.01 million tons of oil and gas equivalent, as of 22:00am on December 30, 2019, an increase of 2.37 million tons over last year's actual production and the latest record annual oil and gas equivalent for the field, according to China national petroleum corporation.
The exploration and development area of Changqing oilfield is located in Ordos Basin, which is a typical "three low" (low permeability, low pressure and low abundance) oil field in the world.after nearly 50 years of development, has been built into an important domestic crude oil production base and the largest natural gas production base.Changqing oilfield has achieved the equivalent of oil and gas production of more than 50 million tons for 7 consecutive years, and the first scale of 57 million tons.
While ensuring the stable production of the old oilfield, Changqing oilfield has made important discoveries in the old regions such as Longdong, northern Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia.Since 2011, Changqing oilfield has carried out nearly ten years of unconventional oil exploration geological theory innovation, technological core supporting technology breakthrough and horizontal well test area construction. In October 2019, the Changqing oilfield announced the discovery of the 1 billion-ton Qingcheng oilfield in Qingyang, Gansu province.
As the largest natural gas area in China, up to now, the Changqing oilfield has opened 18,000 natural gas wells with a daily production of 123 million cubic meters of natural gas, including nearly 300 high-yield wells with a daily open-flow rate of more than one million cubic meters. Based on current production of 123 million cubic meters per day, the Changqing field is expected to account for 25% of China's total natural gas output this year by 2019, generating the equivalent of 32 million tons of calorific value equivalent of an oversize oil field.
